Back from hols…

No time or energy to post much today after a long and tedious journey home, but suffice to say that Suzanne and I had a fantastic time out in Malawi. We got great views of some superb mammals, and when I tot up the final bird list, I reckon it’ll be near 230 species. Oh, and the scenery was awesome as well… photos to follow!

For the moment, though, here’s a couple of quick birdy pics illustrating the two commonest Kingfishers (Malachite and Pied) that we saw around Mvuu Lodge in Liwonde National Park. (As with all photos, click to see the full size image – enjoy!)
